Phenomenal tasting menu! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. A real treat, exceptional service and the best Irish sourced food in the country. Wine pairings a must with this menu. First class in every sense. Chefs and staff were absolutely amazing.

If driving type in “Lyon’s Estate” instead of the actual restaurant or eircode and take the first right when you enter the estate you will see an automatic barrier in front of you - drive through and park up in the car park on the left hand side.Head to reception which will be signed and ask for a code to the gate…and then you’ll be at aimsir! Part of the experience is getting lost! We ended up on a greenway when using aimsir as the destination. It was 100% worth it though. Staff were sensational and provided and extra birthday treat. Everything, the ingredients to cutlery resolves around Ireland and Irish culture. The food was immaculate! 18 courses, they look small but you will be full by the end - and I would be a big eater. The venue is immaculately clean and the surrounding estate is gorgeous. It’s a fantastic location for a summer evening dinner - but just as nice in the winter months. You will need to reserve months in advance so check their website regularly. This 2 star Michelin restaurant is expensive but it’s genuinely well worth the money - I will definitely be going back. Couldn’t recommend enough and perfect to mark a big occasion

An absolutely incredible dining experience. From the moment you walk in you’ll be transported to a completely new place - your senses will be absolutely indulged. From their own gardens out front, to fantastic cocktails before you head in for a meal. Then the experience really flourishes. An incredible display of everything Irish produce and agriculture have to offer. It was so novel in its approach to displaying everything the local area has to offer and I really cannot recommend it enough. On another note the wine tasting menu was a treat but I have to say the juices were incredible too - not that I expected anything here would be less than fantastic but it was a real surprise and something I hadn’t tried before. Looking forward to getting back in the winter to see how they work with ferments and the like - some really amazing fascinations coming out of this kitchen and if you can get a reservation, don’t turn down the opportunity!

You'll quickly notice how Aimsir is set up as a regimented academy for emerging talent. The service style blurs the line between front- and back-of-house, so all your hosts are accomplished, creative young people being given a chance to do what they are most passionate about. The team does a great job of creating a personable, laidback atmosphere - and the key to enjoying the experience is entrusting yourself to them. The tasting menu is noteworthy as a showcase for the surprising range of flavous which can grow in the Irish climate. Despite the extreme amount of effort which goes into every one, there were very few bold or especially memorable flavors. The hazelnut miso in one of the snacks and the cep mushroom ice-cream at the end were the only elements we talked about afterwards. The rest of the dishes felt familiar. The non-alcoholic pairing is worth considering because you get to try far more inventive accompaniments than any wines could ever be. We're living in an era in which paying over €1000 (€21 of which was tap water) for dinner for three people is more decadent than ever, so dining at Aimsir demands a very special occasion indeed to avoid feeling vulgar afterwards.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have some dinner, but at 20:30 lots of places had their kitchen already closed and refused us. Not this fantasy if place. We stumbled upon it despite Google maps bringing us to the wrong location and from the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The staff was amazing, managing to squeeze us in despite having a wedding next room over, and provided us a full choice from the menu. The food was incredible, the fillet steak was so tender and tasty, and the deserts really tasty. Special mention to both cocktails and mocktails (for the drivers), colourful, tasty and refreshing. The place is also gorgeous. We decided to book a week end in the hotel just to get the full experience.

Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago and can easily say it's the best food we've ever eaten. Each plate was a work of art. The care and attention given to every dish is amazing. The staff and chefs are all lovely and happy to engage with the guests. Were there yesterday again - once again amazing

It was an absolutely fantastic experience! One of, if not the best restaurants I've been to. Each dish was absolutely delicious. The staff are very attentive and warm, they really made the whole experience. I had the wine pairing, which was perfect, although the juice pairing is just as good!
